Your child's safety is our primary concern. There are many policies and procedures in place to help
provide safe transportation of your child. As a transportation company we meet or exceed
governing standards for transporting children as set forth by the State of Ohio and the Ohio Department of Education. While we continue to add and improve upon those guidelines, here are some examples of what to expect from our drivers.
First, all potential drivers are interviewed by the owner of the company. All drivers must pass both a State of Ohio and Federal Criminal Background Check as well as a Driver's License check. Drivers then must pass a physical and drug screening before entering into Van Driver Certification training. All drivers must pass the Van Driver Certification program. But we do not stop there, to help ensure our expectations are maintained annual physicals, random drug testing, and monitoring of driving records are all in place
Another important aspect of safe transportation is the vehicle itself. Our fleet of late model 7 passenger, 10 passenger, and wheelchair vans are regularly maintained and repaired by ASE certified mechanics. Vehicles are clearly marked with School Transportation Signs, Caution Children Signs, our Logo, and Must Stop at Railroad Crossing Signs. All vans are equipped with 2 way radios so that they can be in constant communication with our dispatcher allowing for timely updates and possible changes to transportation. Vans are also equipped with first aid kits, body fluid cleanup kits, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Flares, Emergency Triangles, and Fusses. Five point car seats, booster seats, and harness/vest combinations are also available as needed.
